kamet

The story begins at the base of Mt. Kamet, the third highest peak in the Himalayas. From here the Kamet foothills unfold into verdant plains where the fertile soils become a patchwork cut by mountain fed streams. For thousands of years the lands beneath Kamet have been a breadbasket for the Indian people providing water and agricultural sustenance. The stories, legends and fortunes of this region have been passed along, and are carried forth today, by the sacred Parrot our brand icon. We are reminded and inspired by the winged messengers of the region to work hard, be loyal to our community and thankful for our bounty

Our distillery has typical Scottish style whisky pot stills installed in 2012. We have two wash stills of 25,000 litres each and two spirit stills of 15,000 litres each in operation. The height of the wash and spirits stills is 9.7 and 5.7 metres respectively. The wash still resembles a lamp glass type while the spirit still has a boil ball in the cone area to increase the reflux, resulting in a light, floral and fruity spirit.

We have a small cooperage handled by 3 coopers from Bareilly, a place in India known for its coopers. The coopering operation is under expansion, with the charring, assembling and leak repair work being done at the distillery.

We also have 8 Stainless steel tanks, each with a capacity of 60,000 litres each.
